Constitutional law (in Sweden, known as fundamental laws), as well as other laws, set the boundaries for all central government activities. Together they express a number of principles that unite all central government employees, irrespective of what they work on and their professional role.

As a central government employee you have to strive to carry out your duties with respect for the individual and meet the requirements for non-discrimination and consideration of personal privacy.
